So many people have gotten puppies since we all first started to stay-at-home, which makes perfect sense for all parties involved: there has never been a better time to have a dog, get a dog or be a dog, especially a puppy.
Our kids, but especially Peyton, have been pushing hard for us to get on trend and adopt a puppy, and for last the day or two I’ve been subjected to the most adorable tiktoks on the topic, highlighting the extreme joy that puppies inevitably bring into their new homes. (We are not getting a puppy.)
Not as exciting for my kids, but joyful for me, are the quarantine babies pictured below (the chicks, whom I met yesterday, do not belong to me).
Today, these tiny new lives are my joy. #joyinplace
